CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Jr Dragster first time racing age 7 at St. Thomas Dragway.
Jr Sprints on dirt at Fisher's Speedway (ON) and indoors in Niagara Falls (NY). Over 30 wins and 4 championships. Won every race indoors.
Youngest driver ever to race full size stock cars at Delaware Speedway (ON) at age 15. Won 'Rookie of The Year'.
Competed on dirt & pavement with the 'USAC Ford Focus Midget Series'. Won the 'Glen Neibel Classic' at Anderson Speedway (IN) and on the dirt at the Concordia High Banks (KS). Competed indoors in Fort Wayne (IN), Duquoin (IL), and the RCA Dome (IN).
Ran part time in the 'USAC National Sprint Car Series' at age 18, competed at famous tracks such as Winchester (IN), Salem (IN), Indianapolis Raceway Park (IN) and Nashville Fairgrounds (TN). Racing against some of the best professional drivers such as Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne, Bentley Warren, Ricky Stenhouse, Bryan Clauson, JJ Yeley, Tracy Hines & Dave Steele.
Little 500 Anderson Speedway (IN) - Ryan is the highest finishing Canadian in this race. He made his first start as a rookie at age 18 finishing a strong 7th place out of 50 cars. He'd go on to make 12 starts with the best run coming in 2008 at age 21. He led 135 laps when a pit stop fueling malfunction dropped him back to a 3rd place finish. Overall has 5- Top 10's and 3- Top 5's in this prestigious event.
410 Wing Pavement Sprints (AVSS, HOSS, KOW,MSR) - First win came at his home track Delaware Speedway (ON) in 2006 age 19 with the Auto Value Super Sprints, also won at Cayuga Speedway (ON) the same year . Set the all time Delaware Speedway (ON) track record in 2008 which still stands to this day at 15.682. First win in the USA came at Berlin Raceway (MI). Ryan is one of the most successful Sprint Car drivers at Berlin with 6 wins. Other notable wins include 2 time winner of 'The World's Fastest Short Track Show' at Toledo Speedway (OH), 'King of The Wing' at Toledo Speedway (OH), 'Southern Shootout' at 5 Flags Speedway (FL). Competed at the first and only Pavement Sprint Car race at the famous Bristol Motor Speedway (TN). Competed in the inaugural 'Openwheel Showdown' at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (NV) with the best of the best, qualifying 8th and running in the top 3 when a drive shaft broke with 20 laps to go. In total he has 22 - 410 Wing Pavement Sprint Car wins and is one of the most successful Canadians.
Invited to compete in the '5 Nations Cup' Sprint Car race in South Africa for Team Canada. The first and only Canadian Sprint Car driver ever invited to race in South Africa. He would go on to win the qualifying race at Outlaw Raceway and finish 3rd in the main event competing against drivers from the USA, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
Has ran one off races in Supermodifieds with ISMA and at the 'Oswego Speedway Budweiser International Classic' (NY). First ever race with ISMA was at Delaware Speedway (ON) in 2007 where he led most of the race and ended up finishing 2nd. Also competed in Quebec at Autodrome Chaudiere. Ran his first Classic at Oswego Speedway in 2013 where he qualified 7th and finished 4th. Won 'Rookie of the Race' and the 'Fastest Canadian' awards.
Ryan has also ran one off races in other classes such as Legend Cars indoors at Fort Wayne (IN), Crate Dirt Sprints at Ohsweken Speedway (ON), TBARA 360 Pavement Sprints at Condord Speedway (NC) and during Florida Speedweeks, 360 Dirt Sprints at Ohsweken Speedway (ON) and USAC Silver Crown at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IN).
Competed at a total of 72 tracks in 3 countries (Canada, USA, South Africa) , 2 Provinces (Ontario, Quebec) and 15 States (Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin)
